Solhemmet uses Kolla for marketing at events

Solhemmet builds premium living accommodation for seniors in Sweden. Every successful building project requires buy-in from a range of political interests, organisations and individuals in the local community. It means that a big part of the Solhemmet assignment is communicating its value before starting any project. To succeed, Solhemmet is using Kolla as an integral part of its marketing and communications.

“We have a lot of different stakeholders to talk to,” says Moa Svensson, architect at Solhemmet. “They all have specific interests and we need to cater for those interests and give them the information they need. The QR-codes and microsites help us provide everyone with the right content at the right time.” Solhemmet is regularly attending events and providing brochures to all interested parties. The back page of these brochures includes six QR-codes, each leading to a microsite covering a specific issue. One QR-code takes visitors to a page where they can see how the population is ageing in their local municipality coupled with the amount of senior accommodation available today and in the future. Another QR-code includes the company’s main presentation but also a link to a 2D version of the VR-experience they provide at events. “Visitors can now take the virtual tour home with them and share the Solhemmet experience with others,” says Salomé Araújo Martins, architect at Solhemmet.

A vital marketing tool

The Kolla QR-codes are scanned not just at the events but also long afterwards. “It means that we can leave a lasting impression and spread the word of Solhemmet to a wider audience,” adds Martins. “This helps our stakeholders make an informed decision about Solhemmet.” “Kolla is now a vital part of our marketing strategy as we build the Solhemmet brand. We’re making it easy for people to understand our solution and its benefits and we’re able to move them from the physical printed brochure to a digital experience.” And in the meantime, they’re building a new solution for senior living, meeting the needs of Sweden’s ageing population in a sustainable way.
